I always get so excited when I get to create a painting for another artist! Destiny brought such wonderful inspiration and ideas to our coffee planning session.
The overall theme for the wedding was a Dark Autumn Romance which I immediately latched onto for the color theme.
She liked the idea of the painting not being heavy on the focus of the wedding, but more a dramatic painting of the two of them. We chose to include the guests around the edges of the painting moving through the woods in a blurred kind of way to really lean into the dark moody vibe she was going for.
Centered in the painting are Destiny + Will with some dramatic lighting casting down on them.
I REALLY leaned into the texture of this painting creating some extra detail with my palette knife in the highlight areas directly around the couple. I’m so in love with the overall woodsy and moody tone of this painting! Also being able to paint in the woods for hours is kind of my idea of a perfect day.
